Full Throttle STEM®
At The National Museum of The United States Air Force
Information
The Air Force Research Laboratory’s Gaming Research Integration for Learning Laboratory® (GRILL®), will host the 3rd annual Full Throttle STEM® day at the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on May 9th 2024. Schedule and pamphlet are below.
The Goal of Full Throttle STEM®
The goal of this event is to spark student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM®) and increase interest in related career fields. Participating teachers and students will be utilizing a series of project-based STEM® learning materials that were developed at the Gaming Research Integration for Learning Laboratory® (GRILL®).
Throughout their academic semester, students will focus on applying skills such as physics (in racing), graphics design, and marketing to design, develop and race their own RC car. This event allows students the opportunity to showcase their STEM® related projects, including their modeling and simulation-based work, and participate in learning opportunities that culminate in a live RC race car competition at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
