Expectations:

• Work as a member of a team of professional educators to fulfill an identified STEM-education need by a customer.

• Complete individual work (lesson plans, activities, unit plans, or curriculum) with a focus on STEM education for integration into classrooms.

• Will work alongside GRILL staff and a contingent of high school students while they conduct research.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

• Perform other duties as necessary

• 15-25 hours per week

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BS/BA in Education, an MAT, or an undergraduate degree in a related field plus 3 or more years related experience

• Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

• Candidates must currently possess educator licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.

• Candidates with a strong background in STEM and experience implementing STEM in the classroom are preferred.

• Any coding or software background is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Strongly preferred: Professional or higher licensure with a passion for integrating STEM concepts into their classroom.

• Work at the GRILL location in Kettering, Ohio.
