STEM and Education

The GRILL® science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) efforts have centered on collaboration between Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and mentors, students, and educators.

Programs and Collaborations

The GRILL offers a range of initiatives that provide both students and instructors the opportunity to engage in various STEM and internship programs.

Full Throttle STEM®

Full Throttle STEM immerses and engages students in the math and physics behind racing through the use of remote controlled cars and autonomous driving with the help of game engines.

Field Trips

The GRILL engineers assist teachers and students with their various projects, which can include hosting fieldtrips, job shadows, or even lessons on programming.

Teacher Resources

In support of STEM education, the GRILL developed a robust toolkit of educational STEM content for schools and teachers for use in the classroom, after school, or during independent research activities. We have several free projects, syllabi, challenge problems, and more on Teachers Pay Teachers.
