We Are Committed to Collaboration

  • The GRILL® science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) efforts have centered on collaboration between Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and mentors, students, and educators.

  • In support of STEM education, we at the GRILL® are working to develop a robust toolkit of educational STEM content for schools and teachers for use in the classroom, after school, or during independent research activities

The GRILL® engineers assist Dayton Regional STEM School teachers and students with their various projects, which can include anything from soldering to programming.
The GRILL® is one of the workplaces where interns in the Wright Scholar Program are assigned. Wright Scholar interns who are assigned to the GRILL® are usually pursuing a career in computer science.
Full Throttle STEM® immerses and engages students in the math and physics behind racing through the use of RC cars and racing game engines.
In 2016, The GRILL® partnered with the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio to create a patch that would encourage girls to pursue a field of study in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).
